Lil’ Red Car

Lyndhurst has this Ferrari dealership. Just wanted to have a go at one of those babies. Now, without lying outright, I can say: have you seen my Ferrari? Don’t have to specify I’m talking about an illustration ;o)

Zum Fransiskaner

Change of pace, and location. On a cold Winter day along the quays of the Old Stockholm, this beautiful building from 1906, on a site dating back to the 15th Century, originally founded by German monks.

Beach Combing in Waymouth

Lots of overcast skies in the uK, which makes for dramatic views and memories! This is the beachfront in Waymouth.

Down by the River

Nice blue skies, water and a bridge make for a happy traveller.

Abbotsbury Pond

I’m pretty happy with this one. I particularly like the light. Feels like a modern day Romantic British painter did this – Turner, Constable come to mind – but i’m no art expert. Anyway, pretty happy with this one.

Cirencester After the Rain

Wanted to, but did not eat at the Crown. I had quite a bit of road to cover and night was falling. I just enjoyed the sight against the bright, soon to be night sky.

Hillside Cottage

In one of the most beautiful villages in England, Castle Combe, this cottage, by the side of the road, is, even though I interpreted a tad, a typical example of why that village is such a hit with visitors.

Mevagissey Harbour

It’s harder to take decent shots when you’re shaking. Doesn’t look like it but it was pretty nippy out there with the wind. The sun was leaving (again) after having played hide and seek most of the afternoon. Now dusk was upon me and I had very little daylight walkabout time left. Mevagissey must be very beautiful when the sun rises in the morning. I’ll have to come back here some day.

Gently Down the Beaulieu River

The New Forest, in Hampshire, offers plenty of eye candy.

This is the Beaulieu river, with some Beaulieu houses in the background.

Once Upon a Road Trip

I often shun Motorways in England. They’re great to get somewhere fast, but don’t let you experience ┬ámuch on your way to wherever you’re going.

So when I happen on the perfect mix of gnarly trees, a thatched roof house, a dramatic sky and the right light conditions, I have to stop by the side of the road, which isn’t easy everywhere, carefully walk to the appropriate spot, and capture what I see in my mind.

This was taken in the New Forest, Hampshire, on my way to Lyndhurst.
