Wed. Sept. 1 2010 – New Collection started: Vancouver

This one’s my first installment of Vancouver, Stanley Park images. I’m fond of this one because I want to go up those stairs and get into the magic forest. Hey! Wait a minute. I did that!

Tuesday Aug. 31 2010 – Sydney’s Gresham Street Image

Today, a look back at my Sydney stay in December 2008. This image is from downtown Sydney, where Victorian meets with Futuristic every other corner. I just loved the statue and its casual, relaxed pose in the middle of Sydney’s business hubbub.

Monday Aug. 30 2010 – Apache Trail Tree

Arizona desert life at its best. This green barked tree makes for wonderful contrast with the deep blue of a late afternoon sky.

Thur. Aug 26 2010 – Xochicalco

This image is much more impressionistic than my usual work. It has more to do with feeling than with detail. I wanted to convey the sheer power that exhudes from this place, so I used bolder and wilder strokes than usual. I also gave it a bluish/purplish tint because this is the colour I see a lot in special places in Mexico, as if Spirit manifested as a tint over the landscape.

Monday Aug. 23 2010 – Vermeer Woman

This one’s a take on Vermeer. I’m afraid I’m very far from the master, but I enjoyed painting this one all the same. As usual, thumbnails below access a jpeg and detail view. Thanks for visiting.

Friday Aug. 20 2010 – Phoenix Rising

Another one of my “Nature Overcomes Man” images. Stumps grow shoots and start over. Wonderful visual of life overcoming cement. I hope you like it.

Thur. Aug. 19 2010 – Mexican Hacienda Courtyard

Today’s image is from an inner courtyard, in a Mexican hacienda. The crossed paths, with the cross in the background, were just too inviting for me to resist. As usual, both 600 x 400 and detail jpegs below. Thanks for visiting.
